The Harris Hawk is a bird that is much used by falconers. He is 20 to 23 cm high and weighs approximately 735 to 1047 gram. The feather cloth looks like following: -Almost the whole uniform is black which difference in shapes. They are mostly dark on the wings and the tail, but the tip of the tail is white. -The shoulders are chestnut brown and the back is more rusty brown

Like some other hunters the hawk can catch more than one prey at once. The hawk is peculiar in the catching of rabbits, if he is not preceding the hunt; he flies slow and is suspicious for visitors. When the prey is traced he reacts quick and alert. The hawk chooses to hunt the prey short to the ground. They hunt a lot working together. He is not very picky; he eats mammals of the size of a rabbit, birds, reptiles, bugs and amphibians.

The barn owl is approximately 34cm high and has a wingspread of 95cm. The upper side has a golden brown to grey ground colour and it is dotted. The underside varies from rusty brown to white. He is best identifiable by is heart shaped white face.

Everybody certainly knows the graceful kestrel "praying" on a height of 5 until 10 meters above the ground. He hangs there, almost motionless, the head in the wind and he only flaps his wings to the back and front in an almost horizontal attitude. During such a praying flight certain birds forfeit many energy. Buzzard and kestrel use a less energy consuming form of "praying".
