De Gezellen van Ghismo is a re-enactment group of Diest. The meaning of re-enactment is trying to live like it happened in the 15th century. From the 11th century till the 15th century Diest was in the hands of the "lords of Diest", It is this history that we aim at. The lords fought with the side that payed the most, a perfect example of this is Lord Thomas 2, who fought in 1392 with te bourgondian army against the flemish army in the battle of Rozebeke. 
What do we do? We take part in historical events, during this event there is set a medieval camp, most of this events also organize a battle. Next to the battle we cook, and live like medieval times.
